For darshinis, mess and tiffin centres

Hotel billing software for the hotels where people come to eat

This hotel billing software is for the hotel you eat at, not the one you sleep in. In Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra and Maharashtra, a hotel usually means an eatery: a darshini, a veg hotel, a mess, a tiffin centre or a military hotel. EETS Partner was built for exactly these places by a team that runs a South Indian restaurant in Bengaluru.

Hotel, the South and West Indian way

Ask for the nearest hotel in Mysuru or Madurai and you will be pointed to breakfast, not a reception desk. So when an owner searches for hotel billing software, they often want counter billing for idli, vada and meals, not room booking and check-out.

That is what our hotel billing software does. It does not handle rooms, room tariffs, check-ins or table reservations. It handles the counter, the tables, the kitchen tickets and the cash, on the Android phones and tablets you already have. If you run a lodge with rooms, you will need separate software for the rooms, and you can still use EETS for the eatery downstairs.

Darshini billing: pay first, eat standing

A darshini lives on speed. Guests pay at the counter, take a token, and collect from the service counter. The billing has to keep up with a morning line that stretches out the door. For darshini billing, the EETS hotel billing software is set up around the counter screen and token numbers.

  • Three taps per bill

Tap the items, tap bill, take payment. Your GSTIN, CGST and SGST split and round-off are already there.

  • Token numbers

Each order gets a token, so the service counter calls numbers and the parcel orders stay in order too.

  • UPI QR for the exact amount

Show a QR with the bill amount on it. The money goes straight to your UPI ID, never through EETS.

  • KOT for each station

Send dosa orders to the dosa tawa printer and juices to the juice counter, with one printer per kitchen station.

Mess billing software for regulars and monthly accounts

A mess is different. Many of the same faces come every day, and plenty of them settle up at the end of the week or the month. A notebook khata works until someone disputes it, or the person who keeps it is on leave.

In EETS you can set up regulars as credit customers, each with a credit limit, so pay-later meals are recorded against the right name. Daily expenses and opening cash go in too. At night, the day close matches what the system expects against what is in the drawer, so you see the real picture. Reports for sales, tax, items and staff come as small PDFs you can share on WhatsApp. For a mess, that is most of what mess billing software has to do.

Tiffin centre billing and military hotel service

A tiffin centre has a huge morning, a quieter afternoon and a parcel-heavy evening. Tiffin centre billing needs fast counter bills and token numbers for parcels, both of which run alongside dine-in on the same EETS screen. Because every bill is saved on the phone first, a dropped connection at 8 in the morning does not stop the counter. Everything syncs when the internet is back.

A military hotel, with its biryani, mutton chops and family tables, usually works more like a restaurant. Captains take orders at the table on their own Android phones, or say the order into the mic. The kitchen sees tickets on a printed KOT or a kitchen display where late ones turn red. A floor-wise table map shows which tables are free, cooking, eating or asking for the bill. Military hotel billing then becomes a matter of three taps at the counter.

A veg hotel billing app your guests can read

Some veg hotels now let guests order from their own phone. With EETS on the Restaurant plan, each table gets a printed QR, or an NFC sticker or table tent. Guests see your menu in English, ಕನ್ನಡ or हिन्दी, with veg and non-veg marks, sizes and add-ons, and no app to install. They give a name and mobile number and place the order. The counter accepts it with one tap and the KOT goes to the kitchen.

To stop a table ordering twice from two phones, the first phone that orders holds the table. Others ask to join, and your staff approve. Guests can also call the waiter, ask for water or ask for the bill from their phone. QR ordering needs the internet, since it comes from the guest's phone. Counter billing does not.

GST on hotel food bills, and what EETS costs

Here the two meanings of hotel matter. For 2026, a standalone restaurant, including takeaway, AC or non-AC, generally charges 5% GST without input tax credit: 2.5% CGST and 2.5% SGST. That covers most darshinis, messes and tiffin centres. A restaurant inside a hotel whose room tariff is ₹7,500 or more a night is a specified premises and charges 18% with input tax credit. Outdoor catering is also 18% with input tax credit. Please check your case with your CA.

EETS prints your GSTIN on every bill with the CGST and SGST split, prices with or without tax, and round-off. Plans are ₹2,999 a year for Café with 2 devices, ₹3,999 for Restaurant with 6 devices, and ₹4,999 for Restaurant Max with 15 devices and up to 3 outlets. Every plan starts with 6 months free. Questions

Questions owners ask

Is this hotel billing software for lodging or for restaurants?

For restaurants. In South and West India, hotel usually means an eatery, like a darshini, mess, tiffin centre or military hotel, and that is who EETS Partner is built for. It does not handle rooms, room tariffs, check-ins or reservations. If you run a lodge, you can still use EETS for the restaurant or canteen inside it.

What is the GST rate on a hotel food bill in 2026?

For a standalone restaurant, including takeaway and both AC and non-AC, it is generally 5% without input tax credit, split as 2.5% CGST and 2.5% SGST. If the restaurant is inside a hotel with a room tariff of ₹7,500 or more per night, it is 18% with input tax credit. Always confirm your own case with a CA.

Can I use EETS for darshini billing with tokens?

Yes. Counter bills take three taps, and each takeaway or counter order gets a token number. Dine-in tables, if you have any, run on the same screen. You can print bills and tokens on any 58 mm or 80 mm ESC/POS Bluetooth printer, and send KOTs to one printer per kitchen station.

Can a mess keep monthly credit for regular customers?

Yes. Set up regulars as credit customers, each with a credit limit, and their pay-later meals are recorded against their name. You also record daily expenses and opening cash, and the day close matches your takings against the drawer, so you can see exactly what came in and what is still due.

Does the hotel billing app have a Kannada menu?

The QR menu that guests see on their own phone is available in English, Kannada and Hindi, with veg and non-veg marks, sizes and add-ons. Guests do not need to install anything. QR ordering is on the Restaurant and Restaurant Max plans, and it needs an internet connection to work.

What happens to billing when the internet goes down in the morning rush?

Billing keeps going. Every bill and KOT is saved on the device first and synced to your other devices when the connection is back. Your counter staff do not need to do anything differently. Only QR ordering from guests' phones pauses, since those orders travel over the internet.

Do I need to buy a billing machine for my hotel?

No. EETS runs on Android phones and tablets with Android 8.0 or later, and on Android POS machines that print via Bluetooth if you already have one. Any ESC/POS Bluetooth thermal printer works for bills and KOTs. We do not sell hardware, and there is no installation visit.
