Kitchen order tickets that reach the kitchen
KOT software that gets every order to the right station
KOT software decides whether your kitchen cooks the right dish, for the right table, at the right time. EETS Partner sends each kitchen order ticket from the counter, a captain's phone or a guest's QR order to the station that cooks it, on paper or on a screen. Every KOT is linked to the final bill, so nothing is cooked that is not billed.

What a kitchen order ticket is, and why paper KOTs fail
A kitchen order ticket, or KOT, is the slip that tells the kitchen what to cook. In many Indian restaurants it is still a handwritten chit: the captain writes the order, tears it off, walks it to the kitchen and keeps a copy for the bill. On a quiet afternoon this works. On a Friday night, chits get lost, handwriting gets misread, and the copy for the bill does not match what went to the kitchen.
The two costs are clear. A lost KOT means a guest waiting forty minutes for food that was never started. A KOT that never reaches the bill means food that left the kitchen and was never paid for. A KOT system for restaurant use exists to close both gaps.
How KOT billing software connects the order, the kitchen and the bill
In KOT billing software, the order is entered once. The same entry creates the kitchen ticket and adds the items to the table's running bill. When the guest asks for the bill, every KOT for that table is already on it. Nobody re-types anything, and the cashier cannot forget an item the kitchen made.
In EETS, orders can come from three places, and all of them create KOTs the same way.
From the counter
The cashier adds items for a table or a takeaway token and sends the KOT.
From a captain's phone
Captains take the order at the table on their own phone and send it straight to the kitchen. They can also tap the mic and say the order.
From a guest's QR order
The guest orders from their phone, the counter accepts with one tap, and the KOT goes to the kitchen.
Linked to the bill
Every KOT for a table lands on that table's bill, ready for a three-tap GST invoice.
KOT printer setup: one printer per station
If your kitchen prefers paper, EETS prints KOTs on any ESC/POS Bluetooth thermal printer, on 58 mm or 80 mm paper, with auto cut. You can set up one printer per kitchen station. The tandoor gets only tandoor items, the South Indian counter gets dosas and idlis, and the bar gets drinks. Each station sees only what it has to make, which cuts down on shouting across the kitchen.
You do not need to buy a special KOT printer from us. If you already have a Bluetooth thermal printer, it will work. Restaurant Max adds support for a bar and many printers, which suits busier places.
Bluetooth printers have limited range, so keep each KOT printer within reach of the device that sends to it.
Paper or screen: a KOT app on the kitchen wall
Paper KOTs can still fall off the rail. If that is a problem in your kitchen, use a screen instead, or as well. Any old Android phone or tablet mounted near the pass becomes a kitchen display. Tickets move from new to cooking to ready, late tickets turn red, and alerts ring at alarm volume and repeat until someone looks. The kitchen can recall a ticket and mark it served.
Many restaurants run both: printed KOTs for stations that like paper, and a screen at the pass so the head cook can see every open ticket at once.
What to look for in a KOT system for restaurant kitchens
Before you choose any KOT software, ask these questions. They come from problems we had in our own restaurant.
Does it work when the internet drops?
In EETS, every KOT is saved on the device first and syncs when the connection is back, so the kitchen keeps getting orders.
Can a KOT be cancelled without a trace?
In EETS, cancelled KOTs go into an anti-theft log nobody can edit or delete, and risky actions need a manager's PIN.
Can two people order the same thing twice?
With QR ordering, one phone holds the table and others need staff approval to join, which stops double orders.
Does it know who ordered?
Each staff member signs in with their own PIN, so every KOT shows who sent it.
Can it split by station?
Look for one printer per station, or a kitchen screen, rather than one long ticket for everyone.

Questions
Questions owners ask
What is KOT in a restaurant?
KOT stands for kitchen order ticket. It is the ticket that tells the kitchen what to cook for a table or a takeaway order, with the dish names, quantities and any notes such as less sugar. In KOT software, the ticket is created when the order is entered and is linked to the bill, so the kitchen and the counter always agree.
What is the difference between a KOT and a bill?
A KOT goes to the kitchen and has no prices on it. It only says what to cook. The bill goes to the guest, lists every item with prices and GST, and records the payment. One table can have several KOTs during a meal, as more food is ordered, but they all end up on one bill.
Which printer is used for KOT?
Most restaurants use a thermal printer, because it needs no ink and prints fast. EETS works with any ESC/POS Bluetooth thermal printer using 58 mm or 80 mm paper, with auto cut. You can set one printer per kitchen station so each station only gets its own items.
Can I use a KOT app without a printer?
Yes. Instead of printing, you can show KOTs on any old Android phone or tablet used as a kitchen display. Tickets move from new to cooking to ready, late ones turn red, and loud alerts repeat until someone looks. Kitchen display is part of the Restaurant plan and above.
How do I stop staff from cancelling KOTs to steal?
Make sure cancellations are recorded where nobody can change them. In EETS, cancelled KOTs, removed items, discounts and reprints go into an anti-theft log that nobody can edit or delete, not even the owner. Risky actions need a manager's PIN first, and you can check the log from your phone.
Does KOT software work without internet?
EETS does. Every KOT and bill is saved on the device first and synced to the other devices when the connection is back. Orders taken inside the restaurant keep reaching the kitchen. Only QR orders from guests' own phones need the internet to reach you.
Can captains send KOTs from their own phone?
Yes. On the Restaurant plan and above, captains sign in on their own Android phone with a PIN, take the order at the table and send it straight to the kitchen. They can type it or tap the mic and say the order, and EETS adds the dishes, quantities and sizes.
